I’m sure by now, everyone in your household is doing the post Christmas analysis of what was the Best Gift they received.
It’s no different at my house. There were movies and music, technology and so not technical things given as gifts and received with gratitude.
So my guess is that the gift people are finding the most useful at certain times will be of course, their favorite gift of the moment.
At our house that happens to be a DVD set that has been keeping both of us comfortable indoors while we are battling with colds that grabbed us just before New Years.
In particular is the BBC’s Series the Human Planet!
This series contains 3 DVDs, and it will take you hours to get through all of the different segments. The photography, the people, the places and the animals are truly a wonder to behold. I know that I will probably never get to Africa during the dry season, just as surely as I will not get there when the rains come, but, with this DVD, it’s like I have a front row seat to the events that are taking place.
I have sat in awe and wonder at the beauty that I haven’t even thought about in our world. The places and people that I will never get to meet, have opened my eyes to a whole different way of life than what I know.
It is amazing and truly worth the time to sit and reflect on how our world is home to so many and so beautiful too!
It is my favorite gift this year and I’m sure that I will watch this more than once.
Congratulations BBC on another spectacular essay on The Human Planet!
