Garden Gifts for Mother’s Day

April 23, 2016 by GrammieOlivia 10 Comments

Mother’s Day is just a few short weeks away. It’s time to think about those things that Mom might not take the time to buy for herself! Having been a Mom and now a Grandmom, I know that these gift ideas will be more than welcomed by a mom who loves gardening.

Oh what a beautiful garden.

Keep Mom’s manicure looking good even when she’s been spending time in the garden, These wonder Grip gloves are really quite nice.  They feel like a second skin.  Most gardeners dislike gloves because they have trouble “feeling” what they are doing.  These gloves are wonderful and I would recommend them in a heartbeat.  I also like that they are waterproof, but still breath!  They also come in a variety of colors and sizes.

For the Mom with a touch of arthritis there are wonderful ergonomic hand tools. Sure to make her time in garden less stressful and easier to handle with easy grip tools.  For many gardeners, arthritis keeps them from working as long as they would like to work.  If your fingers are sore, then you call it quits before you really want to, because you know you will suffer for it later.  These ergonomic hand tools will make the jobs so much easier.  The grips are soft and larger in size, so that squeezing in order to hold onto them is no longer necessary.  From my own experience, I know that working with hand tools that are made for arthritis sufferers, let’s me stay in the garden long enough to do all the chores I had set out to accomplish.  A little more expensive than the regular hand tools, but worth every penny in my humble opinion.

And after she is finished gardening and wants to sit back and enjoy the fruits of her labors, you could give her some really interesting solar lights to give her garden that “Fairy Magic” look to it.  The summer months are short, so spending as much time outdoors will be even easier if you have some lighting.  These are so cute and solar powered too.  I love the colorful bubbled lights.  They will surely add a spirit of fantasy into the garden in the evenings.

While mom is sitting back and enjoying her “work” and seeing just how nice her garden looks, she can use this hand cream to restore the natural oils and lubricate her skin at the same time.  A little bit of pampering all in a no scent solution.  I personally like a product that is non scented, you don’t want to be attracting all kinds of bugs with perfume, but you do want to use this cream to replenish your skin.  Mom’s all over will enjoy any or all of these gifts.

Garden Gifts for Mother’s Day is a really nice way for you to show your Mom how much you appreciate her.  She will thank you and have a whole summer to look forward to using your well thought out gifts.

Miss Cynthia, I love to have at least 2 pairs going at once. Just in case someone comes over who wants to help me with my garden. I’m never one to turn down help.

A very good list of items for moms and grandmoms! I nearly bought a pair of those gloves, but didn’t. I wish I would have! They were good gloves and would have spared me the blisters on trellis weekend!

The gloves that I posted are very good indeed. Sorry for your blisters. I have taken to wearing gloves, but sometimes I just let my bare hands get into the dirt, for fun……

Susan I hope your Kiddos are listening, those gloves are great. I have been a bare handed gardener for years, but lately have given into wearing gloves. It makes a big difference in your hands. The hand cream helps too!
